We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of our divine Father in Heaven (God). He came to earth to teach us what we should do and to atone for our sins and die on the cross for us. It is only through His sacrifice that we can repent and return to live with Him and our Father. We are ALL Children of God but God was Jesus Christ's literal father, with the virgin named Mary. Because His father was God, Christ had the power no one else could . . . he could be perfect and he could take all of our sins on Himself, because he loved us that much.
